A guide to your candle!
All of our candles will burn virtually smokeless and dripless with exceptional burn times, but only if the specific instructions outlined here and below (and included with each candle) are followed: Trim the wick to near 1⁄4 inch. Light from the base of the wick, not the tip. Burn away from drafts, children and anything flammable. Always burn in holders on a fireproof surface. Extinguish by dunking the wick in the wax pool (bobby pins work well for this, and for manually centering a curling wick). Remove “wick bloom” if it develops.
Pillars: Let each burn last at least 3 hours. When walls of wax develop around the edge of your candle, periodically “hug” it (hugging is using 2 hands to slightly press the outer wall of wax towards the flame).
Votives: ONLY burn in snug votive holders.
Tapers: With a match, heat the bottom of the candle to soften it, then press it into any size taper holder, allowing the wax to cool and “cement” it in place.
Jar Candle: Let each burn last 2-3 hours.
